About Hillside Programs

Hillside received licensing as a Specialty Psychiatric Hospital in 1987. Intensive psychiatric treatment is provided to severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents, ages 7-17, requiring long-term intervention and care.

Our focus is primarily on Georgia children who otherwise might not have access to treatment services. We are committed to providing high-quality, low-cost treatment to those most in need.

Hillside's Residential Program offers the following services:

Individual, Group, and Family Therapies

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Education services provided through our SACS/SAIS accredited on-campus school

Medical Treatment

Additional services include Art Classes, Art Therapy, Horticultural Activities, Activity Therapy, Photography, Music, Field Trips, and Campus Events.

Hillside also offers Therapeutic Foster Care. This program gives children ages 5-18 the opportunity to live successfully in a family setting. It provides the "bridge" some kids need to help them ease back into the community.

Our Community Intervention Program provides home-based therapeutic services to children in transition from a treatment facility, and intervenes to prevent out-of-home placements for at-risk children with mental health issues.

Family members and treatment staff partner to identify and improve on strengths and address specific treatment needs. Necessary services are obtained to support the family in their own home, school, and community.

In accordance with Federal law and U.S. Department of Agriculture policy, Hillside is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
