Why And How To Give
Hillside has been dedicated to serving children in need for well over a century. The generosity of our community plays an important role in fulfilling our mission of helping kids break the cycle of mental and emotional disturbances and become future contributing citizens of society. Donations to Hillside go directly to help the children in our care and are used where most needed, or used to support the program or service you designate.
Your investment in the work we do to help our kids is greatly appreciated and there are several ways you can give:
Online Donations
Secure online gifts may be made with American Express, VISA, MasterCard, or Discover cards by clicking the Donate Online button on any page of this website. Prefer to mail your contribution? You can download our Donation Form (Adobe Acrobat Reader required) to complete and send to us.
Matching Gifts
Many companies support their employees' chosen cause through matching gifts programs. This helps you increase your donation by the amount your employer will match. Contact your human resources department to find out if your company has a matching gifts program.
United Way Contributions
If your company participates in the annual United Way campaign, you can designate your United Way contribution to directly support Hillside’s programs. For additional information, contact your company’s Human Resources office or United Way campaign chairperson.
Contributions of Goods or Services
In-kind contributions can be a great help to Hillside. They provide us with goods or services for our children and families that we would otherwise have to purchase. Donate Books
Hillside is in need of new books for our library, classrooms, and cottages. Click to view the books and other items on the wish list. Encouraging our children to read is one of the most important things we can do.
Honorary or Memorial Gifts
You can pay tribute to someone special by honoring or memorializing them with a gift to Hillside. Giving a gift that will help a child in need is a wonderful way to remember someone. Click Here to download our Donation Form (Adobe Acrobat Reader required).
Gifts of Appreciated Assets
If you own assets (stocks, bonds, or mutual funds) that have substantially increased in value over the years, donating them to Hillside may provide you an income tax deduction on the fair market value and possibly eliminate capital gains taxes.
